The Ermenegildo Zegna group, leader in luxury menswear, is one of the most renowned entrepreneurial realities in Italy.
The group, led today by the fourth generation of the Zegna family, was founded in 1910 by the young entrepreneur Ermenegildo, in Trivero, in the Bielese Alps, and his vision was to ethically produce the most appreciated fabrics in the world through innovation and the use of noble fibers, purchased directly in the countries of origin.
The group, which has implemented an integrated verticalization strategy since the late 1980s, has created a global luxury brand offering textiles, clothing and accessories.
The company's growth is focused on retail sales, also with direct management, and on a pioneering approach to emerging markets, with Asa and BRIC in the top positions. In 1991, Zegna stood out in China as the first global luxury company to open a single-brand business.
In 2010, 100 years of excellence were celebrated. Today, there are a total of 543 single-brand businesses, present in 100 countries, of which 303 are owned by the group, with a consolidated turnover in 2013 of 1,270 billion Euros.
In March 2012 the group has launched ZegnArt, an independent company focused on international collaborations in the field of visual arts.
