As some of you may already know, Bvlgari is a prestigious and luxurious brand in the world of jewelry that celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2014. Bvlgari has always mastered the excellence of creating and producing fine products that leave their Greek heritage marked. Unlike other brands, Bvlgari has been able to adapt to changing times and thus adds modern touches to everything it creates. The hallmarks of the brand are its intricate details with diamonds, rhinestones and gems, its Greek and Roman roots (hence the v in the brand name) and its iconic designs known worldwide.
The brand was created in Rome by a Greek jeweler, the first store was established in Via Sistina. Over the years, its founder, Sotirio Bulgari, together with his sons, opened another store on Via Condotti that is still the flagship of Bvlgari today. In the 1950s and 1960s, his designs became more popular among the jet set and in the world of cinema. When movie stars like Elizabeth Taylor or Audrey Hepburn began to wear their jewelry, they immediately became known worldwide.
As the years went by, the brand gained more and more prestige and popularity, in 1993 Bvlgari launched its first perfumes and three years later in 1996 its successful collection of luxury accessories came to light.
In 2011 the brand was bought by the renowned French luxury group LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy).
The Bvlgari collection of sunglasses and prescription glasses, as part of its luxurious and cosmopolitan line of accessories, has been created with the intention of making one of the most delicate glasses of the moment. Keeping with its well-known diamond and rhinestone designs, Bvlgari has captured all the factors needed to perfectly complete your look.
